AO NANG

Ao Nang is in the heart of Krabi province, and is a quiet beachfront community. It is a wonderful place to spend time with your family and friends, not as great for those looking for a huge nightlife but Ao Nang still boasts a range of nightclubs where you can shake it out. Ao Nang is smaller and easier to navigate then it's larger neighbors Phuket and Koh Samui therefore making it an ideal location for you and your family too have a wonderful time in southern Thailand. With numerous restaurants, bars, islands and beaches it is easy to find exactly what you need to have a perfect vacation.

Only twenty minutes to Krabi town and 15 minutes to Klong Muang, Ao Nang is in an ideal location due to its proximity. Recently many condominiums have begun being built in Ao Nang therefore making it even more attractive for those wishing to come here and stay for a much longer time. For those wishing to invest in this ever growing place.

Ao Nang beach is spread over a two kilometer stretch where you can find relaxed massage parlors on the eastern end of the beach and wonderful seafront restaurants towards the western end. Walking the streets of Ao Nang you will find many different types of restaurants from local time to Indian to Italian French German and Scandinavian, you are sure to find exactly what you need to eat.

On the eastern end of Ao Nang beach you will find A large group of beachfront simple bamboo style massage parlors where you can get a cheap and easy massage while listening to the sounds of the ocean. afterwards you can enjoy assorted fruits and drinks on the beach

Only 10 minutes from the beach the town calms down and you enter into an list jungle, Very beautiful to drive-through and observe the fantastic scenery all around.

Also close to around is the great island Koh Gai (Thai for chicken) where you can rent a longtail boat and ride for only 10 minutes and enjoy perfect white sand beaches and crystal clear water. Koh tai is also home to many beautiful birds such as large hornbills which make a peculiar sound so keep your ears open. The island gets is name from the shape the islands rock rotation makes as it resembles that of a chicken.

Also close to Ao Nang area is Koh Hong where a long tail can be rented and will take around 30-40 minutes, Koh hong is impressive for it’s form formation as the main island forms a lagoon which has don’d the name Hong which in Thai means room. Koh Hong is a great day trip for anyone.

Next to Ao Nang beach lays Noparathara beach which is a more local place where you will find less Tourists and more locals. Slightly less noisy and busy then the larger Ao Nang beach area, NoParaThara beach is a great place for long scrolls if you do not want to see many people. although Noparathara beach is starting to become more developed as the years go by it is still relatively calm and quiet.

At the end of Noparathara beach you will find the pier with boats too Koh phi Phi, Koh Phuket and Koh Lanta, around the pier area is a great place to explore the coastline as there is a small sandbar that is only exposed during low tide.

All along the Ao Nang strip you can find shopping stalls with various souvenirs of Krabi and other simple things to bring back with you.
